Tru Vue Conservation Clear
Although extremely high-quality, Tru Vue Conservation Clear acrylic’s primary mission is filtering UV to protect the underlying artwork. It’s glare performance is not visibly different than plain acrylic.

If there has been one revolutionary change in traditional fine art glazing it is the introduction and subsequent evolution of acrylics. Acrylic glazing has become a viable alternative to glass in many venues, including galleries.

Acrylic offers advantages to glass. Good acrylic is lighter and stronger than good glass and does not break into hazardous shards, except under extreme conditions that I have read about but have never experienced (Do you really want to exhibit your work in an unheated igloo in winter??). It’s easy to custom cut, although it does take more time to cut than glass. Acrylic can be cut to angles and even circles. Also, if you are using acrylic from the best manufacturers, the difference between glass and acrylic on the wall is nearly impossible to detect. Like glass, acrylic options for reflection and UV protection vary.
