In the previous DIYs about staging a photographic exhibition, I covered the success-making issues of adequate planning and dealing with the sundry challenges that can (and will!) arrive during the actual framing and mounting your work on gallery walls.

Despite these obviously critical elements, all those efforts will be wasted if people don’t show up to the big event. And by people I mean folks that not only appreciate your work, but are motivated and have the means to actually invest in it. And that, in a nutshell, involves arguably the most important element of successful exhibitions... marketing.
