strait from camera black and white jpeg with Canon picture setting.
Impromptu portrait session while taking a long weekend at a photo-buddy’s studio. Made this prior to “officially starting” with my Canon 5DsR and 50mm 1.2L. Canon’s B+W jpeg setting is fine for a small print, more than fine.

It’s no secret I love my tiny little portable printers. I’ve mentioned that a couple of times here on the newsletter. I’ve even costed it out to demonstrate how economical it is. I own three small printers, one Canon, and two different Fuji Instax printers. Pure enjoyment, and I highly recommend all of them, but even if you don’t want to be bogged down with yet more gear, there are ways right in front of you to disconnect from the Borg and have way more fun with some small prints virtually immediately.

Today I wanted to share a little bit of how much a couple of small prints can enhance your enjoyment of the photographic endeavor. I’ll even share a story from over two decades ago that planted that seed and give you a few ideas.
