finished frame
Sanded, filled, painted frame. Can be sanded/painted before or after assembling the sticks.

With your framing sticks now assembled and glued into an actual frame, you're ready for final finishing of the frame itself. Yet to go will be cutting the mat, inserting the "sandwich" into the frame, making the dust cover and wiring the frame for hanging.

Sanding Tips

You've come a long way getting to a perfectly squared, glued and assembled frame. You surely dont want to blow it by neglecting the last few steps, among them properly sanding, painting, staining or oiling it.

NOTE: Some framers choose to do the sanding and painting prior to glueing up. There are pros and cons to either method so, once again, practice and experience will guide you.
