Color balance/white balance example
Sometimes “correct white balance” is not the answer. Daylight WB shot at dawn in the fog. Neutral gray does a disservice to many photos.

I wanted to wrap up the month with two different but related thoughts. Having had the years of virtually every photographic road explored to some degree, across many “innovations”, pointing cameras from 8x10 to iPhones at a ton of different subjects in differing genres, one truth I’ve rediscovered over and over is embracing limitations is the heart of looking at the world with creativity. The other truth is that every stage of producing a photograph for others to view is steeped in the editorial process.
