STAS rail picture hanging systems

When photographers visit our studio, they invariably ask about our fine art hanging system. Little do they know how long it took us to settle on the one we have. One that fits our needs... most of them, anyway.

Like other studios I've visited, we originally mounted my prints using the standard hole-in-the-sheetrock method, then a molly, a screw and hang the framed print by its wire. I even created a technique that allows me to hang Gatorboard mounts on a wall.

There's nothing at all wrong with that method of displaying your work, but if you're constantly swapping prints, framed or not, the walls get to look pretty ragged. Then we'd have to patch and paint the entire studio. Enter our current (and favorite) solution.
