That’s awesome there were so many amazing prints entered! I submitted several California condor black and white (sepia toned) prints. Looking forward to trying again next year!
I'll look them up. You have no idea how difficult it was to figure out which prints to hang. Open exhibitions that are not themed make it very difficult.
Heh, maybe not rich, but very seriously passionate about photographing them. Passion can allow you to easily justify spending the big bucks on the good glass. Worth every penny though!

Just FYI we had to included print quality in the criteria which played a significant role (paper choice, etc, etc)

I can imagine it was very difficult. I think you guys did a great job picking some very nice prints. It would be wonderful to see them in person.
Prints are my favorite way to view photographic work.
Ps. Regarding birds, I've always contended that to shoot birds you need to be rich as the glass costs as much as a car.
